The Widener library has a unique collection of over 1500 posters from different Slavic countries (specifically Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Soviet Union and Ukraine). The collection dates from the late 20th century until the present.

A collection of novels, stickers, pamphlets, posters, and other ephemera relating to the LGBTQ community. In the images below, we sample a small portion of the variety of materials available, including more recent material on Chelsea Manning defenders, material to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, and unique tomes representing an international perspective on the LGBTQ community throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

Including posters from the German Democratic Republic from the years 1946-1990, the James Howard Fraser poster collection covers various aspects of political, economic, and cultural life before, during, and after the Reunification of Germany. Additional political posters from the Federal Republic of Germany cover the years 1946-1989 and 1989-1999. There are a small selection of posters from the United States and Sweden, and some materials are unique art works to this collection. Artists represented include: Helmut Brade, Siegfried Ebert, Anke Feuchtenberger, and Werner Klemke.
